Hello everyone,
Some time ago we had the opportunity to take part in brand-building workshops led for us by Adrian Pietrzyk.
The workshops showed us many valuable ideas, and Adrian's creativity inspired us to continue developing our marketing activities.
Adrian later invited us to run workshops about IT systems for students in the Business Logistics program.
On 9 May we held classes for students, talked about IT systems used in pioneering companies and led a discussion about smart work-time management — one of the keys to efficiency and success.
Because this is such an important issue in both professional and private life, we'd like to share several ideas for managing time effectively.
1. The first step is to define clear goals and priorities. Take a moment to decide what you want to achieve and which tasks matter most. Define both short- and long-term goals, then focus on the tasks that create the greatest value and move those goals forward.
2. Planning is a core element of time management. Every day or every week, before starting work, create a plan or schedule that includes meetings, important tasks and dedicated time blocks. Make sure to leave enough room for breaks, rest and recovery.
3. Distractions are among the biggest enemies of efficiency. Remove or limit anything that pulls you away from the task at hand. Turn off phone notifications, reduce social-media use during work and keep your desk organized. Focus on one task at a time and finish it before moving to the next.
4. Don't try to do everything alone. If possible, delegate tasks or use available resources such as teams, tools and technology. Effective time management is also about making smart use of the resources around you.
5. Time management is not only about work and goals. Health and balance matter too. Get enough sleep, eat well and stay physically active. A well-managed schedule should also include time for relaxation, family and hobbies.
Time management is a skill that can be crucial to success. Planning, eliminating distractions, using technology, taking care of rest and turning good habits into routine are only a few of the practices that can help. Remember, however, that time management is an ongoing process that involves experimenting, learning from mistakes and adapting to changing circumstances.
That's all for now, but stay alert — the coming weeks will bring many interesting events that we'll want to share with you.
